Artwork description:

The bright yellow flowers of oil-seed rape dominate and changes views of the landscape in the spring and then it goes to seed and becomes brown and anonymous. It was a grey misty day when I saw this field above Bamburgh on the north east coast. The yellow stretched as far as the eye could see and the yellow shone out even brighter because of the grey sky. I'm not sure whether it is a crop that is good for insects and birds or whether they have to survive at the margins but it certainly makes an impact.

Printed on 300 grm acid free paper in water based and oil based inks. The actual printed image size is 695 x 345. When I have framed this size print I have mounted them to fit a frame 850 x 500. This is an edition of only nine prints which are hand printed and as a result each print is unique. This large print will be delivered unmounted and rolled in a tube.
