Oil painting Spring Kalenyuk Oksana
The oil painting portrays a quaint and peaceful village scene, evoking the charm and simplicity of rural life. The focus is on the left-hand side of the canvas, where a woman and child are sitting on a bench, engrossed in watching a group of chickens pecking and scratching the dirt. The woman is dressed in a modest, flowery dress, and her hair is tied back with a colorful scarf. Behind the mother and child, the houses of the village are visible. They are constructed of stone and brick and have sloping roofs of terracotta tiles. The buildings are arranged haphazardly, creating an intimate, cozy feeling that is characteristic of small rural settlements. One of the houses on the right side of the canvas is particularly eye-catching. It is painted in brilliant white, and the window frames are a vivid turquoise color, standing out brightly against the muted hues of the surrounding buildings. The scene suggests the first days of spring, as the colors are bright and lively, and the sky in the background is a soft, pastel blue. The overall effect is one of serenity, with the village residents going about their daily activities, seemingly undisturbed by the hustle and bustle of the outside world. It is a painting that invites the viewer to pause and take a moment to appreciate the simple joys of life.
