Oil painting Lemongrass
The painting captures the essence of a hot summer day, with large, blurry images of tall grass dominating the foreground. The grass is depicted in varying shades of green and red, suggesting a sense of motion and vitality.
Behind the grass, the outlines of tall houses can be guessed, adding a sense of depth and perspective to the work. However, these details are deliberately obscured, leaving much to the viewer's imagination.
The overall effect is one of dreamlike abstraction, with the grass and houses blending together in a hazy, indistinct way. The colors and shapes seem to shift and blur, suggesting the fluidity of memory and the fleeting nature of perception.
The painting was created in the shade, and the artist seems to have been influenced by the smell of lemongrass, which infuses the work with a subtle, summery fragrance. The result is a work of art that captures the essence of a particular moment in time, while also leaving room for interpretation and reflection.
