When visiting Vienna paying homage to Egon Shiele, I sketched the face of a stunning lady who was equally mesmerised by his talent. These sketches were translated into a number of unique mono prints.
The joy of mono printing is the surprise when you see the image. You know the marks you have made but until the drawing is turned over you won't see the inadvertent marks, maybe blotches on the paper. This is why each one is unique.
