'Oh Flower...' is an original artwork drawn in inks and pencil and acrylic on hand stained paper measuring 130mm x 240mm in size..... oh flower, if I were as tall as you I'd never need to jump ever again.... (daft wee study#1)
I stain the paper myself by hand and each staining adventure results in a completely unique, random result... onto which my drawings are built up in layers of inks and delicate line work. The marks left by the stains determine what I'm going to draw and how the work is going to evolve. It's a very exciting technique and it works well for me as I'm very spontaneous and my creative thinking process is quick and quirky.
Here the little hare is envious of the flower's height...but I wonder what life would be like if he didn't have the challenge of jumping every now and then...I'm pretty sure he's miss it...
