I had a conversation with a friend about ones serenity being like a balloon you have to remember to hold on to and I knew I wanted to paint it but the image wasn’t clear in my mind yet. I walked past this window on my way to nursery one sunny morning, feeling not so serene after another sleepless night and I loved the light and reflections of the glass and the two scenes married in my mind.
