I chose the title "Of Two Minds" for this piece because it's about someone being conflicted and undecided about life and it's path.
I created this piece this year.
This work went through many phases. I am very happy with the result. Half the piece is messy, chaotic, burnt and the other is perfect, structured, clean. The girl on the right is stepping onto the other side, her foot looking as if it's touching fire. Is this a good thing, to go against the grain, break out, play with fire?
This mixed media piece with found objects is created on gallery stretched canvas. It has so much texture. The sides are painted grey so you don't need to frame it. But it would look great if you choose to.
