Another in my series of Glasgow Reminiscences (following Irn Bru and Broomielaw). I'm still going back to my photography days and unlike the other two I have no recollection of the original image. It clearly was a rainy night and I was either in a car or positioned myself very quickly in the street to capture the image. However I love the original photo that was the basis of the painting. Rain, cars buses, busy lighting. The Odeon really was the hub of a night out in Glasgow in the early 80s. In terms of composition and construction, I loved the opportunity to "go dark" again and play with light. I liked this painting so much that I put the image on a teeshirt. Hope you like.
