Original artwork description:

This painting was inspired by the bright colors of aspens changing leaves in autumn near the summit of Carson Pass in Northern California.

Materials used to create this artwork:
Gouache on 6"x8" Multimedia Artboard. Gouache is very closely related to watercolor. It uses the same gum Arabic binder, but has more pigment which is not ground as finely as watercolor. Professional gouache colors are so opaque and vibrant because they have the highest pigment load of any other painting medium.

The painting is matted with 100% acid-free bevel-cut mat and smooth mounting board. Mat outer dimensions size: 8"x10" (20.3x25.4 cm). Opening size 4.5"x6.5" (11.4x16.5 cm).
Framed in 8"x10" weathered white frame. Frame outer dimensions size 12.5"x10.5".
