The ocean and music, symbols of the depth and vastness of our soul.
Each of my oil paintings on canvas is a long journey that respects the drying times of oil paints. It begins with layers of color, then involves removing, carving, and etching until the essence of the painting is revealed, using a unique technique I developed after much experimentation. In this particular painting, I played with various shades of blue to achieve multiple depths of vision. As always, the surface is not materic, and if you caress the painting, you will discover it is as smooth as a mirror.
