"Ocean in the Sky"—
I’m always looking for reference photo moments as inspiration for oil paintings. As I drove east on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City, California, the sunset sky glowed in a combination of greens I’d never seen before. I felt an excited twinge that signaled a “must-paint” opportunity. Nature is full of surprises!

My Artistic Inspiration—
I’m a cityscape oil painter passionate about bright colors and deep contrast. My inspirations are the fluid light, dramatic vistas, quiet neighborhoods and stark landscapes of California and the Southwest. I paint with a vibrant palette and expressive brushstrokes to share my vision of an essence of the urban experience. I hope that the viewer will be inspired to see the world around them in a new, beautiful light.
