“a hard, dark, glass-like volcanic rock formed by the rapid solidification of lava without crystallization”
During a tour around the South West of Iceland in 2016 I came across these fantastic lava fields where you could walk out onto huge slabs of exposed black volcanic rock, looking out to sea revealed small jet black islands forming this beautiful coastline.

Materials used:

Acrylic, Tempera Powder Paint, Acrylic Varnish Medium & Liquitex Soluvar Archival Varnish
