This original wood sculpture is one of the latest artworks of the talented Bulgarian professional sculptor Nikola Tsvetanov, deeply inspired by postmodernism, constructivism, abstract geometry and three dimensional gravity defying art. The artist concept is to develop the architectural form of temple obelisks to an artistic visual form, with a certain degree of independence from the reality and leaving the notion of faith and stability into its viewer. It is one extraordinary woodcarving masterpiece and exquisite home décor.
Nikola Tsvetanov’s work encompasses many contemporary art styles with the act of minimal drawing being key to his exploration of form and sculptural composition. Mining a space between figuration and abstraction, the artist consistently returns to nature as a point of departure, exploring biological figures and scientific shapes as a metaphor for transformation.
