Original artwork description:

I prepared a sheet of 300lb cold press paper with rabbit skin glue so that I could safely oil paint on top. I wanted to preserve the natural color of the paper. This is a view from near wear I live so I know it well. The landscape was erased by fire several years ago so the charcoal drawing imitates much of the remaining fire adapted vegetation.

Materials used:

oil, charcoal on paper
