Painted on-site at Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis, MN. Features an autumn colored oak tree with gold and bronze foliage, shot through with brilliant orange and lemon yellow highlights. The scene is accented by a smaller green tree at the lower right, variegated colors and textures of fallen leaves, and a light blue sky. The colors of the tree glow in the sunlight. Painted on board with oil over casein paint. The soft, matte texture of the casein background contrasts with the thick, glossy oil of the foliage. Includes iridescent gold and bronze paint in the foliage. Paint has been applied with both palette knife and brush, with delicate lines of trunk and branches, and thickly textured impasto leaves.
Framed in a 2.5" wide wood frame with a mahogany colored finish. May also be purchased unframed.
Compact enough to fit into many places Would be a wonderful pick-me-up for an office or living space.
