There is this question in life versus Nature versus Nurture. Are we born to be the way we act and think, or is it based on our environment and our upbringing. I believe that the answer to this question is that we are nurtured. That being said, I took this concept into action when I choose this image of an Owl. The natural habitat of the Owl is actually one of great diversity. They can be found on every corner of the world in different shapes and sizes. Through experience and their upbringing in the woods, they turn into stealthy and occasionally creepy creatures. The painting was done in a way to imitate the formation of branches in a hardwood forest. The colors came from a clear night sky and the initial innocence that the Owl portrays. By giving the creature one quid glance, you simply cannot stop and stare and admire their shinning eyes and glance of question.
The piece is professionally framed in a deep set frame.
