More from a new series of life drawings. A mixed media piece, using pastels, ink and gouache on a heavy (425 gsm) hand made 100% cotton paper with an attractive, irregular deckle edge.
The paper is slightly smaller than A2, and would suit an A2 frame with a border mount, or could be mounted to show off the deckle edge.
Andrew McNeile Jones studied fine art at Ruskin School of Art, at Oxford University, in the 1980s. He then trained in photography and film making, and worked in London as a producer and director for a number of years; he returned to painting in the early 2000s and has been a full-time painter since 2006.
He has won several prizes and exhibits regularly in London; he has also exhibited in several other European cities.
He now lives and works back in Oxford.
Much of his work is deeply influenced by his interest in film lighting and the creation of ‘tableaux’ which contain a narrative element.
