A gestural study from one of my figure drawing practice sessions.. In this piece I tried to focus on creating narrative with a good composition. With a wealth of information to work from, it was more a matter of distilling and choosing what to include or omit in creating a strong composition. Vine charcoal was the perfect medium in helping to create this soft toned atmospheric piece.
