This is a slightly surreal screen print of the Thames Estuary with decrepit but still charismatic World War2 Maunsell Forts, Shivering Sands and Red Sands in the distance. Cloud watching is not as popular maybe as it used to be, when there are so many other distractions, but the clouds are still as good as ever.
This five colour screen print uses a blend of two colours in the sky which helps to give a sense of space, and is hand finished part way through the printing process with coloured pencil, as a hint of light in the water.
