One of my sources for inspiration is ancient myths and legends. With this artwork, I start a new series of colorful portraits - her visions of ancient goddesses.
She is Nox, a goddess of Night. The line between sleep and death is so fragile, the difference only waking with the dawn. When the sun sinks below the horizon comes darkness where she reigns.
The original, hand-made palette knife painting on a gallery wrapped canvas. High quality natural pigment oil paints are used. Covered with dammar varnish to preserve color and protect from dust and moisture. Shipped in a tube.
The artwork is signed on the front and a signed certificate of authenticity is provided. Framing is possible on request - I could recommend a few options.
