Original artwork description:

Now Everything’s Vivid is a collection of abstract paintings looking at colour and form, investigating how colour and form work together, their relationship with negative space, how colours work with one another to create a sense of energy and a language in themselves. The work aims to create a sense of energy from painting in London and the inspiration from being by the River Thames. The works are colourful, vivid and aim to capture the energy and creativity of the city. The exhibition title ‘Now Everything’s Vivid’ originates from the lyrics of the song by Dua Lipa featuring Miguel, ‘Lost in Your Light’. A further interpretation of Now Everything’s Vivid is that life is very short and we should aim to live each day to our best fulfilment and embrace the positive of what we can even under struggles and difficult circumstances. To be present in the day and make this as vivid as possible – in essence to be alive! and the aim is to identify and capture this in the artworks.
