Original artwork description:

My friend described being a child in Co Derry, Ireland, at the time of the Irish troubles, visiting an old fashioned Auntie in her terraced house. A trolley of fancy biscuits were wheeled in and eaten under the gaze of the Madonna who presided over the gathering while armed soldiers populated the street and lurked in the doorway. The description was so evocative that I put it in to paint
