A local walk where I live at Wincombe park , Shaftesbury , North Dorset.
Original impressionist watercolour on extra rough textured watercolour paper Bockingford 425 gsm 200lb. I used my sable hair brush and a filbert for this painting. I applied wet on wet washes and a dropping technique for the sun. Then I painted the pinks, purples around the sun. I then added some deep greens for the hedge line while the paper was wet. I love creating watercolours wet on wet style as it’s challenging and I can work experimentally.
