I am about to paint a series of smaller paintings with fruits. I am trying out some different backgrounds and techniques, so the paintings can vary in style and colour.
Tomatoes can vary so much in shape, size and colour, but for EU standards only a few sorts are allowed for trading. This tomato is so unique in shape and changing colours that it caught my eye at once, so that I had to paint it.
