Nostalgia – by Alanah Jarvis
Nothing really beats the great vastness of a calm sea, the twinkling lights dancing in the peak and troughs. This large oil painting has many layers of oil paint to create the illusion of fast moving water, then in other parts, the water moving slow.
A horizon in a room can create the illusion of more space as it draws the viewer to look out at the percieved distance.
The edges of the canvas have been painted to create a faux frame and some photos show a frame so the viewer can see how this would appear.
