Original artwork description:

It took a really long time for this form to mature. I've started carving the block almost 5 years ago. Searching for the shape to emerge and come to live. Putting it aside time and again, a reliable though unfinished guardian figure dwelling in my atelier for years. Only recently I've matured as a sculptor to the point of being able to finish it the way I've envisioned. Great feeling and a very meaningful piece that I'm proud of.

The piece is carved in a single block of bright limewood.
Signature is incised at the bottom, underneath
