Artwork description:

This linocut print was inspired by a lovely breaking wave in the North Sea, on the coast near Saltburn-by-the-Sea. Northern Wave I is an original reduction linocut print, using just one block of lino and a process of carving away the lino between each layer of colour to produce the final image ('Northern Wave II' is a simplier one layer print using what remained of the 'Northern Wave I' linocut block).

These linocut prints are handmade from start to finish - the lino block is carved, inked and then each print is pulled away from the block - as such they will have small variations making each print into a unique artwork.

All of my prints are flat packed if delivered within the UK, and will be sent packaged in tissue and a tube if delivered outside of the UK.

Zerkall extra smooth printing paper, 145gsm. Lawrence linseed oil ink.
