Original artwork description:

From my series of rail travel paintings inspired by the East Coast Main line landscape near Northallerton. The speed of travel rapidly brings views of farmland, woodland, distant hills and shifting skies, before they disappear behind structures and trees close to the track.

This landscape has an atmosphere of calm. Autumn approaches.

Expressive and gestural painting on canvas board. This has been finished with satin varnish to protect against UV and pollutants.
