Original artwork description:

North Sea Wave is a small 8 x 10 inches acrylic painting based on photographs I took in Cromer in Norfolk. It is one of a series of wave paintings I have been working on over the past couple of years.

Christopher Witchall’s seascapes capture the light and open spaces of the English coastline. His unsentimental approach to his subjects combine traditional painting techniques with the realism and cool detachment of photography.

Materials used:

Acrylic painting on gesso panel.
