Beyond the Noosa that the tourists come for, Hastings Street & Noosa River etc, is this breathtaking beauty of the Noosa Hinterland.

Scattered throughout are the Noosa Trails. This painting is inspired by the setting sun behind the western hills.

Painted in a loose impressionist style this painting is an important one in my development as an artist as it represents a shift away from trying to literally represent the subject to a minimalist approach where I am trying to capture the atmosphere of the place.
