Nogent-sur-Marne borders the city of Paris to its' west, alongside Bois de Vincennes. To the north lies Fontenay-sur-Marne and to the east lies Le Perreux-sur-Marne. Its' southern limit is the river Marne and the viaduct carries the Paris-Basel railway across her. Who doesn't enjoy a long sweeping viaduct? Well, not everyone it seems. On the 13th September 1944, four of its' main piers and arches were dynamited by the Nazi military. It was rebuilt in 1945 with wider concrete arches. Many of the constructors were Italian, many of whom stayed on afterwards in Nogent-sur-Marne.
This is an original relief print pulled from an engraving cut in rubber. The edition is 10 prints only. Please feel free to contact me to put a question or make a remark.
