Original artwork description:

This little painting is inspired by the Ashdown Forest - a vast scrubland forest on the edge of Sussex. I've recently become fascinated by nocturnal paintings - that gorgeous inky night sky, seen safely away from light pollution. I spent many an evening on holiday last year, taking a pre bed time walk with my family around the campsite lake - here grew my love of the nocturne. Bringing it closer to home, I've since had the joy of creating scenes of my local Ashdown Forest at night.

This bijoux painting is only 10 x 10cm, on a canvas panel, painted in oils. It comes framed in a generous wooden deep frame - with black painted sides and silver frontage.

NB. the best colour match to the original is the main image - unframed.
