Nobile was a petit gascon saintongeois dog breed, and he was a wonderful dog, not only for his appearance but above all for his character.
He was elegant in his attitudes, his long dark ears made him inimitable!
I have dedicated many portraits to Nobile, but this is on a frame that I have prepared with plaster by imprinting a sort of grid to create an unusual effect,
the cut of the image emphasizes even more the depth of the gaze of this magnificent dog that when he looked at you he read in your heart.

I made the work with the oil color technique on canvas, I use oil color by superimposing many very thin layers of suitably diluted color to create the effects I want.
