Artwork description:

This etching explored the use of three definitions for three words: Pious, Sexy and Evil. I then randomly chose pages from a well known U.K. newspaper and where my finger landed I would draw the image onto the zinc plate.

The random images were:
1) Evil: CEO from a U.K. bank
2) Sexy: Model from a fashion show
3) Pious: Rt Hon David Cameron PM

Each of these have the dictionary definition from each word, yet deliberately laid out to become backwards due to the backward and changing/ evolving nature in the meaning of words and how they are interpreted.

The chance elements and the synchronicity of landing on these images via randomly turning the pages of the newspaper, with eyes closed, I did find quite freaky.

Each of the images were created on separate plates and then printed, adding layers before printing onto fabriano fibre paper.
