A pictures from the open series "Distance"
The following work is an example of an “open series” in which I prefer to work. She deals with the topic of distance.
The work was not explicitly made on the current pandemic, but it has become unexpectedly topical.
Last but not least, this series is about the intellectual distance that is increasingly being observed in societies.
In my work I do not refer to current events, but rather think about fundamental developments that are then expressed in my pictures.
The pictures remain in a state of limbo between figuration and abstraction. On the one hand they are not a "vehicle" for political or social messages and on the other hand they visualize the influences that I am exposed to as a painter.
