Oil on deep edge canvas
Part of a series of 'Not Smoking' paintings
I use captured moments rather than the traditional poses associated with portraiture, to this end working from photographs becomes a part of the process. I rarely do drawings in advance but use the paint to draw directly on the canvas then build up layers from washes to more gestural mark making, often combining brushwork with palette knife.
It is painted in oils on a deep edge canvas (the edge is also painted in the same colour as the background) it can be hung as it is or framed if preferred.
This painting is shipped stretched and ready to hang with fixtures on the back of the stretcher. It is signed on the back of the canvas. Paintings are securely packaged and shipped with a tracking number.
