Zakhar likes to play on the edge of figurative and abstract worlds. When you look at this complex artwork with multiple layers of oil paint you may get a feeling that you start to see some objects from the real life and then with a second glance you don’t see them anymore … It is amazing how our brain interprets visual signals from our eyes. I asked a number of people to describe what they see on this painting and each person interpreted it differently. Some see urban landscape with roads and skyscrapers, some river and a forest with pathways, some a boat sailing through the rough sea…

The artwork is in private collection, but the artist is open for commissions and may repeat the artwork if you really like it.
