Painted en plein air (on location) in Auburn, California.
The Mountain Quarries Bridge, also known as the No Hands Bridge, is a railroad bridge across the North Fork American River, near Auburn, that was built in 1912 to transport quarried rock. From a painter's point of view, it is a very interesting and beautiful subject to paint.

Materials:
Oil on oil-primed Claessens Belgian linen, mounted on the archival museum quality Gatorfoam panel. Painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish.
