Original artwork description:

I have been fascinated by maths and science all my life. Art has always been an equal part too so it seems very natural for me to combine the two. I find beauty in both and my aim is an aesthetic synthesis, a union of these two parts of our experience.

This piece is composed of ninety-nine 'L' shaped elements placed in a geometric, grid pattern. The elements are aluminium, polished on one side and are the corners in the title. The corners are oriented and the position of the more reflective side decided according to a simple mathematical algorithm applied randomly to each one. The number of possible arrangements of the pieces exceeds the number of particles in the universe!
