Artwork description:

A study in the magnificence of Victorian railway engineering, shot on traditional 35mm film at the Sankey viaduct, also known as Nine Arches, standing since 1830. This is where the Liverpool and Manchester Railway, grand project of George Stephenson and the first steam locomotive powered passenger railway in the world, crosses the Sankey valley near Warrington. Nine 70ft high arches from the viaduct and pass over the St. Helens canal, the arches constructed to allow sailing barges on the canal to pass beneath. Print from 35mm colour film negative scan.

This is print 1 of 25. Limited edition of 25 prints across all sizes and finishes (plus two 24x16in artist's proofs). Each print is individually hand-signed and numbered.

The photograph is available either as unmounted prints in a range of standard sizes from 12x8 inches [30x20cm approx.] to 24x16 inches [61x41cm approx.], and also in ready-to-hang options of traditional gallery wrap canvas or modern aluminium mounting. All are produced by an award-winning lab using only the finest quality materials.

Other sizes for unmounted prints of this piece are 12x8in (£65), 15x10in (£85), 18x12in (£110). Also available as gallery-wrap canvas (18x12in £175), and aluminium mounted (18x12in £195, 24x16in £295).

Please contact me to request size or finish options not already in my store. Or if you don't see the size and/or finish you want, please get in touch...other options may be available.

Unmounted C-Type prints are produced using a traditional photochemical process, with true photographic paper exposed from the digital scan and then developed. The gallery-quality archival paper used is selected by me as appropriate to the particular photograph from papers manufactured by Fuji, Kodak and Ilford. All prints come with a wide border for easy mounting and framing.

Gallery wrap canvas prints are produced using the same Epson K3 inks as my paper prints, on heavyweight 100% cotton canvas, to create pieces with richness and luminosity along with a wonderfully tactile texture. They are stretched onto a frame made from sustainable wood, reinforced for stability and fitted with robust metal fixings for easy hanging

Aluminium mounting is the ultimate ready-to-hang enhancement to your home decor, a spectacular image and a sleek and modern mounting system which creates a stunning piece of gallery standard artwork. The photograph is professionally lab-printed onto Fuji Crystal Archive DPII paper using a traditional photo-chemical process, then mounted and sealed on a 3 layer aluminium substrate (for superb stability and warp-resistance). Finally, a UV-protective coating is applied to protect the print. Wall-fixings are pre-fitted, so the piece is ready to hang straight away.

Please be aware that quality of this kind takes a little time. Turnaround times vary from 7 business days for unmounted prints to 10 business days on average for canvas and aluminium mounting, after which I take delivery of the work for inspection before shipping to you. Guaranteed to be worth the wait!
