Here is a portrait of the renowned jazz/soul/pop singer, Nina Simone. Nina recorded over 40 albums during her volatile and unpredictable lifetime (she died in 2003 at the age of 70). She was a dedicated civil rights activists during all of her adult years, and many of her songs reflect that attitude. Some of my personal favorite songs are Sinnerman, and take me to the water.
Nina #2 is the second portrait that I have done of the singer. It is a one of a kind original work of art. It is produced using India ink and acrylic paint on Dura-Lar 5 mil artist mylar mounted on tempered masonite.
I only sell original work so there will only be one original.
The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
This painting will be ready to hang, out of the box. It will be mounted on tempered masonite with a two inch wide painted border. It will have a hanging strip on the back and I include a “monkey hook” for easy attachment to your wall. It can be on your wall within five minutes.
