What lured me to draw this crocodile was the patterns on his scales. Reptiles are enigmatic creatures, they give little away and of course can be quite menacing but their prehistoric appearance is quite captivating. I returned from a trip to Africa with so many good photographs of these reptiles that I couldn't help but draw one.
