"I have long felt that cities hold a unique beauty, especially at dusk and in the rain. The most beautiful sight I have seen is Manhattan at night. My wife and I visited there in 2008 for the first time and, as the taxi from the airport took us to our hotel, I was in awe of all the skyscrapers. But more than that, the clouds were low and the tips of the skyscrapers were all lit up and the light diffused into the clouds and darkness. Alan, your art-piece captures that beauty of the city.
