Original artwork description:

Night time, just another intersection , Nasik, India
colour sumi ink sticks on watercolour paper, 15.4 x 10.5 in., 39 x 27 cm.,
This is another hit from my past. My first travels with pad and colours in hand probably date back to 1976, yeah I started traveling quite young… and over time, moving around too much one loses things along the way. This picture goes about as far back as I have found in my old papers. This was done on location, In this case out on the balcony of the hotel room, or just looking out the window. This is done without preliminary sketching or construction lines, just paint on paper. That’s pretty much how I worked in those days. Here the mood is well captured. The inks, the type ground on a wet stone are of great quality, but the paper has somewhat yellowed over time. Nonetheless an amazing item.
The close up picture is of higher resolution to be able to get a feel for the brush strokes of the painting.
Please note that you can purchase in one order up to 3 paintings of this same size (small painting category) or smaller to be included in the same 1 shipping fee.
