Own this stunning painting entitled Night Terror 92cm x 92cm x 3.8cm - Original acrylic painting on high quality stretched linen canvas. Ready to hang.
Invest in an upcoming artist I am Jane Ianniello, a well-known Brisbane artist and I have been finalist for all the major prizes for the past few years - Lethbridge 10,000, Rotary Art Spectacular, Moreton Bay Art Awards, Noosa Art Award, Stanthorpe Art Prize. I have also exhibited at various Brisbane and Gold Coast galleries.
Spend hours exploring the mystery The inspiration for my “noirscapes” paintings is the artificial glamour and drama of Hollywood and European film noir movies of the 1940s and 50s. These movies used expressionist lighting and camera shots to portray the dark side of humanity - greed, lust, jealousy, paranoia, and revenge.I appropriate and transform the black and white publicity stills from the films by painting them in arbitrary colours, and often placing them in incongruous and sometimes bizarre settings such as mangrove swamps, caves, Egyptian tombs, rainforests, bushfires, and beaches. The resulting paintings are designed to unsettle and intrigue the viewer.
