Original artwork description:

In the «I am not a hero» series, I problematize the ideal of humanistic discourse about a future world where physical violence will become obsolete and our bodies will be safe.
I draw on my own experience living through the change of worldviews during the war.
As an author, I work with corporality as the only material for obtaining mental and material experience. The world still welcomes the beautiful death of the Hero, like the ancient world of Greece, while at the same time affirming the modern values of security and moderation with the new Heroism.
I conceptualize bodily security through the image of a female-hero
looking at me from the narrative of history and literature - Lady Godiva, Gerda, Jeanne d'Arc
I use the metaphor of the body as a text that retells its own story of vulnerability.
I explore the body's ability to remain open and vulnerable while the outside world puts on armor and urges it to fight. Modern society still requires people to be eaten up by dragons, calming their vigilance with a discourse about total equality.
My main interest in this series is the ability of the body to evolve through pleasure and pain. My heroes, with their vulnerability, prove the inconsistency of Sartre's theory of the Other, which still leads to the logic of conflict and war. At the same time, I fix the unwillingness of society to move into the logic of the Other Levinas, which translates communication with the Other into a completely non-violent discourse.
My characters consciously choose to remain vulnerable in order to stay alive and feel, not to escape reality and not anesthetize feelings so as not to lose touch with the truth
Characters do not cover their bodies with clothing or shields, finding new resources of courage and accepting the fact of their vulnerability as part of life.
