This picture is the third version of a series of works dedicated to the feast of Ivan Kupala. The first job was my diploma. And after that the theme did not leave my imagination. I'm attracted to the colors and the state of the night, the mysteriousness of blue manners, when the outlines of objects become unclear. Also I was inspired by the state of girls, as if merging with nature, immersed in the ritual. The holiday of Ivan Kupala is pagan Slavic. Girls weave wreaths of flowers, put candles in them and let them on the river ... The beauty of a summer warm night merges with the beauty and innocence of girls. The image of an old gnarled tree and a dark river as a symbol of an ancient mother-nature gives a feeling of a fusion of man and nature ...
