Original artwork description:

Man and woman personifying Night and Day, Dark and Light, Earth and Air.

The image started off as a black and white lino-print (see in one of the photos), one from the extensive series of hand-made prints on Japanese papers which I worked on in the 1980 - 1990s.

One of the few remaining prints from the edition is fixed onto a deep canvas and over painted in acrylics.

I love using a combination of blue and burnt sienna and here I have also used gold, copper and a pearlescent blue acrylic to create a subtle sheen.

The paper is folded around the edge of the deep canvas.
It is unframed but ready to hang so there is no immediate need for a frame.

Signed and dated on the front, bottom right; also on the reverse of the canvas.
