The enchantingly delicate and intricate patterns of a single Nigella flower have been lovingly rendered and abstracted in pastel hues using a combination of watercolour paint, coloured pencil and some embellishments with acrylic pen. I am often asked if I use geometric templates for the drawing of my flowers but I actually draw everything freehand.
