Original artwork description:

Niest Point is on the westernmost part of the Isle of Skye and is exposed to the weather that blows in from the Hebrides. My day at the Point was no exception - the lighthouse here is a go-to scene for photographers and artists alike it a day bathed in beautiful late autumn light quickly turned to wind, rain and mist. I used acrylic inks to quickly lay out a colourful underpainting, holding firmly on to my easel to prevent it being blown into the sea below. But the weather was too bad for the pastel stage and so I completed the painting back in the studio, remembering what it was about the scene that was so wonderful when the sun was shining.
This work is presented double mounted ready for framing. It will be dispatched cello wrapped and carefully packaged in an appropriate strong cardboard box and sent via a tracked courier.
A certificate of authenticity will be provided.
